Typhoon Ma-on

[Via the American Embassy Tokyo]"This emergency message is being issued to alert U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Okinawa and Southern Japan (to include Kyushu and Shikoku), that as of 9:45 am (local time) on Friday, July 15, Typhoon Ma-on was located approximately 250 nautical miles southeast of Iwo To, Japan. Typhoon Ma-on is expected to track generally westward and intensify at a steady pace as it moves over warm water. Typhoon Ma-on is predicted to reach the Japanese islands of Shikoku and Kyushu on Monday July 18 or Tuesday July 19.
